3 Days in Kouchi due to an upset stomach, but I certainly could have picked somewhere worse!
Cooking up some Bonito, Kouchi style. Large pile of hay right next to the fire got my “Safety Officer” sensed tingling.
The end result. Sashimi yet not. Effectively a fish fillet….mignon.
The bottom of Shikoku. I guess the long concrete things that break up the photo are for erosion protection. Or are just really crappy piers.
Yeah, Dog fighting. In Japan. I was shocked too.
Doesn’t seem like much of a fair fight for the little one in the middle (But really, pretty horrible that this happens)
BUT, of course you can buy a cute doll of the local dog breed. Merchandising!
This is the beach and shrine that appears on Japanese TV every year during Typhoon season, as Kouchi gets hit hardest (and it’s a wee bit pretty too)
The man from Japan, Sakamoto Ryoma. Ended up in Nagasaki, lucky fellow.
Not the most direct route, but the fastest!
